Aaron takes first place the Celebrity/Musicians category for his work with singer and songwriter Tanerélle.

COMMUNICATION ARTS 2024 PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

Aaron’s collaborative work with singer and songwriter Tanerélle has been chosen as a selected winner in Communication Arts 2024 Photography Competition. Of the 2,210 entries to the 65th Photography Annual, only 129 were accepted, representing the work of 115 photographers, making the Photography Annual the most exclusive major photography competition in the world. Each winning entrant will receive a personalized Award of Excellence, milled from solid aluminum, and award certificates. The selected projects will also be reproduced in the July/August 2024 issue of Communication Arts, both in print and digital editions.

A Serious Case of Something That Should Probably Be Checked Out But In Reality You’ll Just Try To Sleep It Off (RED) has been selected to appear in the American Photography 39 annual award book. Considering over 7,000 entries, the jury selected 443 images to appear in the book and represent the best pictures from 2022.


 PORTRAITS – HELLERAU PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD 2023

With the theme of “Surface”, Aaron was awarded 2nd place and title photograph for the 2023 Portraits - Hellerau Photography Award for his piece, A Serious Case of Something That Should Probably Be Checked Out But In Reality You’ll Just Try To Sleep It Off (RED). At the same time, it is the first time in the history of the competition that a single image, not a series, has been awarded. The current annual exhibition now shows the works of all 32 finalists until 11 June in Dresden, Germany.

Going Up received Third Place recognition in the CONTACT 2019 “What Lies Beneath” competition hosted by 500px. The surreal image, blending vibrant color with dark humor, explores themes of vulnerability and absurdity within everyday spaces. Selected from an international pool of submissions, the piece was exhibited as part of the prestigious Toronto photography festival.
